tY BATHURST
Our Gala guest speaker, Ty Bathurst is a retired Navy SEAL Commander with 21 years of distinguished service from 1999 to 2020. During his military career, Ty led sensitive and complex global operations, commanding teams from small units to battalion-sized elements in some of the world’s most challenging environments. He managed strategic resources exceeding $80 million and oversaw the training, equipping, and operational readiness of elite forces. Ty’s leadership was recognized through numerous awards, including the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star with Valor, along with many other unit and individual commendations, reflecting his courage, dedication, and exceptional performance in combat and operational excellence.
Following his retirement in 2020, Ty has continued to serve the veteran community through executive leadership roles, including CEO of the SEAL Future Foundation, where he developed programs supporting career transition and mental health for fellow veterans. His partnership with Healing 4 Heroes in training his service dog, Ollie, exemplifies his ongoing commitment to veteran wellness and the transformative power of service animals. Ty’s story is one of resilience, leadership, and unwavering dedication to service—both in uniform and beyond.
